Excellent quality and great to protect ankles, knees and hips from teaching on concrete decks. Also great for swim students to learn exercises to increase core strength and kicking technique. I may purchase the deck cart as well!

The mat is very forgiving to the body and does a great job of absorbing impact. It may be pretty heavy for some and a bit of a challenge to pick up and put away, but not impossible.

I’ve ordered this mat in the past and I had to replace it after 11 months of use. The mat breaks down and black, sand-sized particles shed from it, which leaves the deck dirty. It then starts to absorb water, which makes it very heavy and hard to lift/move. Our facility has only nine classes each week. I wish the product would last longer, given the price.

I’ve been in the industry for 30 years and have seen facilities struggle with finding a good teaching mat for aqua fitness instructors. The Hydro-Fit deck mat provides dense cushioning under foot, while it prevents slipping (of the mat on the floor / of the instructor on the mat). The mat is durable – not easily torn when moved from location to location, or put away for storage. This kind of equipment gets a lot of wear and tear in most recreational settings. It holds up very well! We store ours by draping it over other equipment in the storage room. I would recommend a saw-horse sized apparatus to allow it to be draped over to dry.
