Classic WAVE Belt Strap

We have been using the Hydro-Fit buoyancy belts for over 10 years. Prior to that time, we were replacing the entire stock of belts every 9-12 months. Having the ability to maintain our belts for the members by replacing the belt straps and not the entire belt has been a savior to our budget. As our program has grown, we have the ability to purchase more belts and run bigger classes. Some days the belts are used for 4-5 classes which equates to 4 hours in the pools. The belt replacement straps allow us to have more options for our classes and more money in the budget to purchase other equipment such as Hydro-Fit cuffs for our members.

I purchased a wave belt with the velcro closing in 2015. After a few years of use, 3 @ a week, the velcro gave out, the belt was like new. I purchased this replacement belt in the small size. However, due to the Pandemic, I have gained 10 lbs, and needed to size up to the medium. This belt is so sturdy, but it is not forgiving, does not stretch... Unless you gain weight, buy one and done!

Purchased the entire weight belt with velcro strap aprox. 4 months ago. Have lost weight and decided to downsize on the belt...so purchased a "small" belt to with my medium weight belt and it works perfectly!!!!!

I create flotation belts for deep water aerobics class out of your fastening belts and noodles. This is for ladies in a 55 plus community that have not done deep water aerobics before. By using your belt straps with clip fasteners it gives them the ability to try the class and stay afloat for the experience prior to ordering their own flotation belt. They work good.

This belt is easy to insert into the floatation belt and easily adjustable to fit the average weight person.

I love my hydro-fit flotation belt and really liked the velcro belt it secured with, however after a couple years of wear, the velcro would come undone with hard breathing. I switched to a clip closure. The only problem with it is that with my arthritic hands it is difficult to undo. Thus only four stars instead of five. My original flotation belt was/is a Medium, and I'd had to take in several inches of the woven belt in the back. The Small woven belt works fine on the medium flotation belt. Very prompt service and delivery.

We like these straps because they have the size tab (S, M, L, XL) and they are very strong. However be aware when you are renovating your existing belts that the plastic buckles will fit through your belt holes. We had some blue foam belts where the buckle did not fit through the holes, so we had to take the "forked" buckle off which was not easy, thread the strap through, and then reattach the buckle. It worked, but just a bit more work than we had expected.

FIT PERFECTLY AND ARRIVE FAST.

If cared for properly this strap will last for years. I am an instructor and carry 20-30 belts with me from pool to pool. I rinse them with clean water after each use and let the belts dry (closure not clipped) in the shade. I have tried the velcro straps and do not find them to be as lasting. The stitching and the sides fray, the small is rather a med. in size and needs to be altered with a re-sewing (or a knot if you're in a hurry). I have replaced most of my velcro straps with this classic strap and as I said, with care they will last many years.
