Saturday, May 1
Aqua Rhythms – Margie Caldwell-Cooper
7:30am – 9:00am
Rhythm is movement, the song of our human bodies: on land, in water, and during the joy of exercise. Do the terms “land speed”, “water speed” and “tempo” make sense to you? Learn to feel and to move more freely to the soul of music—to decipher its cadences, speeds and rhythms. Deck teaching skills will also be practiced in this land and water workshop.
Aquatic Stability Training – Margie Caldwell-Cooper
9:15am – 10:45am
Learn how to use new concepts in aquatic “pre-hab” to meet client needs in personal training and water fitness classes. Learn new functional exercises to use in the pool that transfer to the land in the form of better balance and improved core stability for your clients.
Deep H2O Sport Cross – Craig Stuart
2:15pm - 4:15pm
Prepare your students (and athletes) for better function and improved performance on land. Integrate sport-specific conditioning drills with balance and agility training to challenge all the systems in the body. Go beyond basic training techniques to develop the hidden athlete in each of your students.
Sunday, May 2
“Pasta” a la Carte – Margie Caldwell-Cooper
9:15am – 10:45am
Increase your teaching fun factor and be effective for your students at the same time. Learn to use Noodles to get people’s feet off the bottom with confidence in shallow water, to add new strengthening moves and for stretching too. It’s all possible with this versatile device!
